Serious car accidents leave more than bodily injuries

The road to recovery after a serious car accident is long and filled with obstacles. Yes. Victims often suffer serious bodily harm which can be difficult to overcome, but they may also encounter other kinds of hardship including medical debt, job loss, and mental trauma.

Experiencing all of these challenges at once can be overwhelming, and many victims are left wondering where to turn. Thankfully, there are solutions.

California law creates a cause of action for people injured because of someone else’s negligence or wrongdoing. They can file a personal injury lawsuit against the responsible party demanding compensation for the hardships they suffered.

If successful, the court may grant the plaintiff a significant financial award that could make the journey back to normal all the easier.

The first step is contacting an experienced car accident attorney. Victims shouldn’t hesitate. California imposes a two-year statute of limitations on all personal injury lawsuits; failing to take action promptly could mean permanently forfeiting the right to legal recourse.
