Administrators at troubled school relocated, but still employed

Moreno Valley school district officials have replaced administrators at the middle school where Diego Stolz died after he was beaten by fellow students. The former administrators are still employed by the school district.

In the court of public opinion, replacing school administrators who appeared deaf to complaints about bullying is great. It may or may not be admissible at trial.

What is troubling to me is that these administrators are still employed by the school district. This happens all of the time. Bad administrators or teachers are moved to different schools or different locations which does not address the underlying problem. What is more, it leaves these folks employed in positions where they might still be required to protect our children.

It reminds me of when priests were just moved to different parishes. In most jobs, if you violate policies and those violations hurt someone, you are fired.
